Your questions answered

All of Shelley Taylor’s jewellery is made using the highest quality materials. All our earwires are sterling silver – gold plated, unless otherwise stipulated.
All other metals are brass based and gold plated. All semi-precious stones and crystals are natural.

We recommend the following precautions to ensure your piece of jewellery lasts longer:

  • Store each piece separately in its provided pouch.
  • Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Avoid spraying perfumes, hair products or any other harsh chemicals directly on your piece of jewellery
  • Do not allow contact with water or chemicals.
  • Remove your jewellery before sleeping.

Due to the natural and delicate nature of our jewellery, wear may occur over time. You can easily clean your jewellery with a soft jewellery polishing cloth at home

We try our very best to make sure our customers are 100% satisfied with their purchase. Should you feel unhappy with a purchase you have made then please contact us within 14 days of receiving your jewellery. Once the original item has been returned we will offer you either a store credit or a direct exchange. An order paid for with a store credit is treated as a new order and our normal delivery fees will apply. Items that are returned to us must please be in its original condition and undamaged. Unfortunately we cannot take responsibility for items lost, therefore we recommend using the registered mail service with The South African Post Office where a tracking number is supplied. We will only refund postage if the item was received damaged. Please note – due to hygienic reasons, earrings cannot be returned, unless faulty.

If any ST piece needs to be replaced due to a manufacturing default within the the first 3 months we will gladly replace it. The original piece has to be sent back to us in its original packaging (at the customer’s own expense) and we will send the replacement back at our cost.

Please note that all semi-precious stones used are natural therefore items may vary slightly from the picture shown. We will always try to match the item as closely as possible to the original picture.

Orders can either be paid via PayFast or EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). If paying via EFT, please mail your proof of payment to info@shelleytaylordesigns.co.za. Please note that orders will only be processed once payment has been received.

Domestic orders

We offer FREE SHIPPING on all domestic orders under 2kg, direct to your door. Due to our jewellery being made by hand, please allow 2-3 days for manufacturing.
Delivery 2-3 working days.

You will be supplied with a tracking number to your email address once your order has been dispatched.

International orders

All international orders are sent via courier, and delivered straight to your door. Courier costs start at R399, which will be added onto your total cost of purchase. This service normally takes approximately 7-10 working days.
